We invite you to become involved in the dynamic Worship Ministry of First Baptist Opelika! Those involved in the Worship Ministry have a common purpose: to exalt the name of Jesus by leading Godโs people in a time of genuine worship, to communicate Godโs saving grace to the lost, and to encourage the hearts of believers. The people of First Baptist Opelika are enthusiastically encouraged to use their spiritual and musical gifts to bring glory to God. We offer a variety of opportunities available for you to both serve and experience Jesus Christ, while at the same time growing closer in fellowship with one another.

Choir
Our Adult Choir leads worship at the 8:30, 9:45, and 11:00 a.m. services in The Worship Center under the direction of Bruce Hill, Worship Pastor. The choir engages in a time of fellowship followed by rehearsal every Wednesday evening from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. In addition to leading worship on Sunday mornings, the choir is featured in special programs at both Christmas and Easter. We are a group of individuals, diverse in age and backgrounds, who love to sing. We would love to have you join us!

Orchestra
Skilled amateur musicians join the Adult Choir in leading worship every week in the Worship Center. Rehearses Wednesday nights from 6:00-6:30 p.m. with the choir.
The orchestra is also an integral part of our Christmas and Easter celebrations. No audition is required to join, but players should be of intermediate to advanced skill level.

Contemporary Worship Team
The Contemporary Worship Team leads the Contemporary Service at 8:30 and 9:45 a.m. in The 3:16 Center. Led by Ryan Snell, this group of talented singers and instrumentalists seek to bring glory to God, while creating an atmosphere for others to join them with humble hearts in praising our Savior.

If you are interested in joining the Contemporary Worship team, the first step is to submit a video highlighting your skillset.
Kids Choir
Kids choirs offer preschoolers and elementary age children, from 3-years old through 6th grade, the opportunity to participate in one of several age-appropriate choirs as well as musicals and dramas. Filled with fun activities and songs, spiritual applications, and dynamic choreography, your child will look forward to choir each week!
