We desire to partner with parents to develop disciples who know God, grow in God, and go with God

We believe God's plan for the family and the church is to demonstrate what it means to "love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, and mind, and to love others around them"

(Matthew 22:37-39)

Upcoming Events

Bring the whole family on October 26th for dinner as a family starting at 6 p.m. Shortly after, kids will be dismissed as if they are having a parents night out.  We have lots of things planned for your kids that night! Parents, you get to stick around and enjoy dessert and coffee and a presentation designed with you in mind.  We understand our kids are our disciples, but what does that mean?  What does that really look like?  How can we be equipped to pass the Gospel on to the next generation? Come hear practical and biblical ways you can weave Gospel threads in your everyday life.  It will change the way you think about everyday life with your kids.  5 topics will be covered.  Movies and the Gospel, Prayer and your kids, Gospel Fluency, Getting to the root of the heart, and Technology.

This evening is designed for parents with Kindergartners - 6th grade.  If you have babies or toddlers along with a child in elementary school, we will have childcare for all of your children.  However, in order to serve those families well, we respectfully ask if you are a family with kids 4 years and younger only that you wait to attend a Parent's Night Out in the near future.

vacation bible school

Vacation Bible School was a huge success. Thank you to everyone who took their time to help us in the many ways you did. If you want to see the highlight videos we took throughout the week they can be found here.

I'm new

The 1st-6th graders’ activities are all held on the 3rd floor of the Preschool/Children’s Buildings. These are the church’s buildings closest to the Lee County Courthouse lawn. They are accessible from Avenue B through double doors located in the courtyard between the two buildings closest to the 9th Street parking area. If you enter here, you will be on the 2nd floor - where you can check in there or go directly to the Faith Factory lobby on the 3rd floor. You may take the stairs to the right in the lobby or ride the elevator to the 3rd floor. There in the Lobby, you will make your first stop at the desk where someone will be able to help you find your child’s class.  Also here, you will be issued a temporary Security tag for the day (see Security tab for more information about our security procedures and how to secure a permanent tag). One tag is placed on your child and you will be given a pick up card will be turned in when you pick up your child and you will receive a key fob you can use the next time you check your child in . You will be asked to leave a cell number in case you are needed.

If you plan on being on campus for more than one hour, your child will be transitioned to the next leader and environment.

All children will be picked up in their small group room. Please have your parent badges ready and visible when you come to pick up your child.

We look forward to partnering alongside you.

Security

Your child’s safety is of utmost importance to us!  We want you to feel secure in leaving your child with us as you worship and attend a small group Bible study.  These are the ways we try to fulfill this goal:

1st-6th graders are required to wear a security badge.

We use an automated check-in system that generates badges for both children and parents. These tags have randomly produced numbers that change each time the child is checked in. The parent badges do not display names but corresponding numbers. In case of a lost badge, the parent must show a photo id. Parents are required to show their matching badge to pick up the child.

Leadership Requirements.

Volunteers who regularly lead in any of our classes must complete an application form and background checks.  Our goal is to always have two adults (preferably unrelated) serving in the classroom with the children.

leadership

Leading our boys and girls is a privilege and a huge responsibility, but it is also one of the most gratifying things you will ever do.

All of our volunteers are asked to complete an application and background check.

If you are interested in serving in any way, please contact the church office at 334-745-5715 and speak with our children’s ministry assistant.

kids with Special needs

We believe that every child is made in the image of God and should have the opportunity to learn about Jesus. We desire to do what is best for the child in order for this to happen. Please visit our check in desk to learn about our Buddy system and how we include kids with special needs.
